SWIM
 
Distance   .5 mile (.75k), approximate

Route   Start from the west end of the lake
Swim straight across the lake 
Exit swim adjacent to the RecPlex parking lot
     

Water Temperature   70 - 72 degrees

NOTES:  

The swim takes place in Lake Andrea, a spring fed lake.
Lifeguards will be stationed throughout the swim course. 
Swimmers will be able to swim along shoreline if preferred.

Follow Terwall Terrace West to Highway 165 
Head West to Highway 165 to 136th Avenue
Travel South on 136th Avenue to Horton Road
Make right on Horton Road to 152nd Avenue
Travel south on 152nd Avenue to State Line Road
Go east on State Line Road to County Highway U
Travel north on County Highway U to 116th Street
Go east on 116th Street to West Frontage Road
Travel south on W. Frontage Road to 122nd Street
Go east on 122nd Street to E. Frontage Road
Travel north on E. Frontage Road to 120th Court
Go east on 120th Court to 114th Avenue
Travel north on 114th Avenue to Highway 165
Go east on Highway 165 to Terwall Terrace

Bike Racking

RACK YOUR BIKE on SATURDAY or SUNDAY 

RACKING YOUR BIKE SUNDAY, July 11th 
4:30 A.M. - 5:30 A.M.
RecPlex - Transition Area

  • Bike number must be affixed to your bike frame and to your bike helmet prior to racking bike.
  • Only registered athletes are allowed in the Transition Area on Saturday & Sunday

If you choose to rack your bike on Sunday, Primary Parking Lot for participants is at Prime Outlets.  

  • Park & ride bike to Race site ONLY from Prime Outlets.
  • Ride is approximately 1.3 miles.
  • This lot is closest to Race site.
  • NO bus transportation will be provided to Race site from Prime Outlets on Race Day.

Arrival Time needs to be based on Transition area closing time (6:30am), NOT your wave start time

  • Security will be in place overnight in this area.

GETTING TO THE RACE Sunday, July 11th

Parking will be available:

  • At Prime Outlets - NO Courtesy Bus Transportation will be provided from Prime Outlets - PARK & RIDE your bike to Race site
  • Target Shopping Center - Courtesy Bus Transportation provided from 4:00am
  • On-street parking, local streets - NO Courtesy Bus Transportation will be provided from on-street parking - PARK & RIDE your bike to Race site

There is NO parking at Race Site (RecPlex)  on Sunday.

Driving directions to PRIME OUTLETS:

From Chicago:   Take 1-94 to Exit #345 (Highway 165).   Follow signs to Prime Outlets. 
 
From Milwaukee:  Take 1-94 to Exit 1-94 at Highway 165 and drive east following the signs for Prime Outets.

  • This parking is for athletes who wish to "park & ride" (their bikes) to and from the Race site. 
  • NO Courtesy Bus Transportation provided.
  • The distance is approximately 1.3 miles.

Driving directions to TARGET Shopping Center:  

From Milwaukee or Chicago: Take I-94 to Exit # 344 (Highway 50). Drive 1/3 mile east to TARGET.  

  • Park and walk to Courtesy Bus Transportation Pick Up location

COURTESY BUS TRANSPORTATION:

  • Will be available from Target Shopping Center only.  Buses will run continually to and from Race site beginning at 4::00 a.m.   
  • FRIENDS, FAMILY & SUPPORTERS NOT ARRIVING WITH ATHLETES ARE ASKED TO WAIT UNTIL 7:00am TO ARRIVE AT COURTESY BUS LOCATIONS
  • ATHLETES WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY WHEN BOARDING BUSES
  • BIKES CAN NOT BE ACCOMMODATED ON BUSES
  • STROLLERS ARE NOT RECOMMENDED

Parked at Prime Outlets
  • Ride your bike to your car
Parked at Target Shopping Center
  • Ride your bike to your car

OR

  • Take courtesy bus transportation to your car, drive car back to RecPlex property (SEE NOTE BELOW) to pick up bike
 
Parked on local streets
  • Ride your bike to your car
Carpooled with family, friends, other athletes  
  • Ride bike to Prime Outlet Mall and have family and friends meet you there with car

OR

  • One member takes courtesy bus transportation (or rides bike) to retrieve car, drives car back to RecPlex property (SEE NOTE BELOW) to pick up bike
NOTE:  We anticipate that Highway 165 and Terwall Terrace will be REOPENED between approximately 11:30am and 12 noon.  If you are returning to RecPlex property (Terwall Terrace and Highway 165) to pick up your bike, drive to Terwall Terrace where you can park for a LIMITED TIME; pick up bike from Transition area; return to car and depart.
 
 
Courtesy Bus Transportation FROM the Race site will be provided until approximately 1:00pm on Sunday July 11th to Target Shopping Center.
 
ADVISORY:  Bikes are NOT allowed on shuttle buses.
