About Team Survivor

Team Survivor was founded in 1995 by Sally Edwards with the goal of returning fitness and health to the lives of women who have received a cancer diagnosis. The first Team Survivor Affiliate was founded in Austin, Texas. Today, there are more than 24 Team Survivor Affiliates across the country with programs ranging from triathlon training to yoga to Dragon Boating and more.

Team Survivor provides free support to female cancer survivors as they reach for fitness goals and programs are open to women in all stages of treatment, recovery, and survivorship. Physical activity feeds the body, mind, and soul, and Team Survivor provides women with exercise opportunities and education to "thrive" while they "survive." These women arealready champions; Team Survivor helps them reach new heights. To learn more about Team Survivor, or to find a chapter near you, visit
