Bike Route  

Bike is flat, fast and smooth 
Bike is an out and back on rural roads 
Start at the parking lot
Make a right turn on Waterworks just past Park pay station.   
Head straight through the light at Dixie Hwy. to a right on Yax
Make a right on E. Hurd
Make a Left on Mental
Make a right on Fix
Make a right on Nadeau and back.

    Run course is entirely inside the Park
    Run with views of the lagoon inside the Park
    Run is flat on a black topped 8’ wide path with three bridges and shaded most of the way
    Run is on a beautiful flat closed Run course

NOTES:   One of the most beautiful run courses you will run.  Course takes you around  3 man made lagoons that have become very popular study areas for wildlife enthusiasts.   .

Bike Racking

Sunday, July 18th 

Transition Area
Opens 5:45am - Closes 7:20am

What do I need to know?

  • Arrive early (at least 1+ hour prior to Race start)
  • Transition Area opens at 5:45am and closes at 7:20am
  • The Transition Area may be entered by participants only
  • Be sure to affix bike helmet sticker and bike frame number before entering Transition Area (provided in Race Packet on Saturday)
  • Enter Transition Area in an orderly fashion
  • Lay out your gear(sneakers, socks, towel, helmet, water, etc) neatly and efficiently next to your racked bike
  • Volunteers will be on hand to guide participants through the process

NOTE:  

  • The Local Race Director will use their discretion on when the Transition Area will be reopened to athletes to pick up their gear and leave Race site. 
  • No athlete may enter Transition Area until this announcement is made
  • Friends and family are to remain outside of the fenced Transition Area
  • Athletes must walk or run their bike out of Transition area
  • Athletes will mount bike at the sign outside of Transition area

Take 1-75 to Monroe Michigan exit (exit 15)
Travel less than a half mile to park entrance.    

Race Day Parking:
Race Day parking will be in the adjacent parking lots next to the transition area.  

Race Day Parking Fee:
Sterling Start Park has a $5 parking fee.  Please have exact change available..
