2009 Trek Women Triathlon Series
Entry Categories


Age Group

  • YOU compete with women in your age group (14-19, 20-24, 25-29, etc.)
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Age Group awards (top three in each category)
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal

NOTE: Most Races will have more than one wave in each Age Group Category. There is NO GUARANTEE that you will be in same wave (100 women per wave) with a family or friend who also signed up to do the Race in the Age Group Category

Mixed Age Group

  • YOU compete with family, friends, training partners, etc. of varying ages
  • YOU are GUARANTEED to START the Race with a pal, colleague, sister, etc. who also entered the Mixed Age Group Category
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal

Athena

  • YOU do the Race with women who are the same stature as you (minimum of 150 lbs)
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Group awards (top three in each category)
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal

Women in Uniform

  • YOU do the Race with other “Women in Uniform” (military, fire, police, government)
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Group awards (top three in each category)
  • YOU receive a finisher's medal

Physically Challenged

  • YOU do the Race with other women who are physically challenged
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Group awards (top three in each category)
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal

Elite

  • YOU have been a top 10 finisher and/or top 3 finisher in your respective Age Group Category in a race of 300 or more women
  • YOU compete as an individual for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Group awards (top three in each category)
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal

For ELITE Athletes: Athletes who would like to participate in the ELITE Category should enter in the AGE GROUP category and submit a record of your previous Race results at time of entry to mark@timberlinetiming.com. All athletes whose race records warrant a change of entry category will automatically have their race entry changed to the ELITE category in the entry database. Allow 10 days for your race records to be reviewed and for the category to be changed.

Team Survivor

  • The Trek Women Triathlon Series offers a limited number of free entries for cancer survivors in each Race region
  • PRIOR to entering a triathlon, please contact Cathy Daldin, Team Survivor coordinator cathy@teamsurvivor.org, to check availability and eligibility procedures
  • The entry process must be completed at least 10 weeks prior to Race to be eligible
  • Free entries are limited for each Race

Relay Team

Categories: Family, Friends, Corporate and Physically Challenged

  • YOU want to split the 3 segments of the triathlon (swim, bike, run) with one or two friends, family members, colleagues, etc.
  • YOU compete for official Race time within your entry group
  • YOU compete for Relay Team awards (the winning team in each of the relay team categories will be awarded a team prize)
  • YOU receive a finisher’s medal (each relay team member)

NOTE: All teams must find their own team members.
